Our workshops are open to anyone who is interested in the particular subject area being covered.

Formation of Moot Pools: Both internal and external students are eligible. The Arbitration and Litigation Moot Pools are formed through annual Bunty De Zoysa Memorial Moot Competition, while the Mediation and Negotiation Moot Pools are selected through the annual Mediation and Negotiation Selections, all organized by the Moot Society.

Competition Applications: Mooties in the Arbitration and Litigation Moot Pool may apply for competitions related to that area, while mooties in the Mediation and Negotiation Moot Pool may apply for competitions in their respective area. Participants are selected based on the interest shown by mooties within the relevant pool, with priority given according to the rankings achieved in Bunty’s Moot and the Mediation and Negotiation selection rounds.

No prior experience is required to take part in selection competitions organized by the Moot Society. Training sessions, workshops, and practice rounds are provided for beginners.

Any internal student may become a member by filling out the application form when the Moot Society calls for applications.

The Society guides and prepares mooties to take part in both national and international competitions in fields such as constitutional law, international law, human rights, commercial law, arbitration, mediation and negotiation.

Yes, the Society organizes regular workshops, practice moots and mentorship programs guided by seniors, alumni and legal professionals, particularly for mooties who are preparing to represent Law College in competitions.
